Austin attorney Vanessa Simone is one of the founders of Deitchle + Simone Law Firm PLLC. Vanessa’s main practice areas are Texas family law and child welfare law. She focuses on divorce, child custody, and LGBTQ+ family law in Travis County.
Vanessa approaches her law practice with a “we are in this together” philosophy. She knows that anything under the family law umbrella can be highly emotional and stressful. Vanessa is experienced working with clients who are in high stress situations. She is committed to being not just a strong and honest legal advocate, but also a calm and patient “safe space” for her clients.
While on the journey to opening her own practice, Vanessa has always stuck to what she is passionate about: helping the most vulnerable members of society in times of crisis. She was an intern at the Office of the Attorney General Texas in the Human Trafficking and Transnational/Organized Crime Division, was an intake associate at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid and, since becoming licensed, has continually provided pro bono services to family law clients.
A native Australian, Vanessa immigrated to the United States in 2017. Prior to entering the legal field, she had a lengthy career in the travel industry. Outside of her law practice, Vanessa enjoys the beach, surfing, hiking, and the live music scene that Austin offers, especially the ACL music festival. When not out and about, Vanessa loves spending time with the office staff, Poppy and Peppa.
